It fills five specific gaps that are common in Britain. The National Diet and Nutrition Survey for 2019 to 2023 found 18% of adults aged 19 to 64 vitamin D deficient across the year, and 31% of them in winter, which is the strongest single reason anyone here has to take this. Then B12 if you have cut down on meat, iodine if you have cut out dairy, selenium because British soil carries very little of it, and magnesium, which a large minority of adults eat under the reference intake of. That is the actual list. It is not a vegetable.

The permitted wording is “contributes to the normal function of the immune system”, and the ASA has told advertisers in writing that strengthening, boosting and optimising all reach past what the evidence supports. So we print the sentence we are allowed to print, at the size we are allowed to print it.
Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. We are legally obliged to print that sentence. We would print it anyway.

Everything that is in the pouch but is not an active. There is no line on this label that says “natural flavouring”, because that phrase can legally cover about four hundred things.

One thing worth saying out loud. If the only reason you are here is vitamin D in the winter, go and buy the £8 supermarket multivitamin, or a £4 bottle of D3 from the pharmacy, and spend the other £35 on vegetables. That is a completely sensible thing to do and we would rather write it down than pretend the fourth column does not exist.
Melatonin is a prescription-only medicine in the UK, whatever the internet and your American podcast tell you. Anything sold to you over the counter here either has none in it or should not be on sale. So this is the boring version: magnesium in the two forms that do not upset your stomach, a proper 1.5 g of glycine, and L-theanine. Take it in 200 ml of water about 45 minutes before bed. Anything that genuinely knocks you out needs a prescription and a conversation with your GP.

I only looked because the magnesium is bisglycinate and not oxide, which is the reason I gave up on the one from the chemist. It tastes like slightly sweet pond water, which is what greens taste like. No notes.

Emailed asking for the unredacted Eurofins report for batch SD-0126-C because the arsenic figure was higher than the batch before. Got it back at 4pm with an explanation about the kale supplier and what they changed. I'd have preferred the raw file to just be on the site in the first place, but the reply was straight.

Powder is fine, the packaging is not. The resealable strip stops sealing properly once the pouch is half empty and it has gone all over the shelf twice now. The scoop also ends up buried and I have to dig for it every morning. Decanting it into a jar solved both, but I shouldn't have to.

The greens are the least interesting part of this pouch and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The seven green ingredients add up to 5.5 g of dried leaf and algae, which is not a portion of vegetables, and there is no serious evidence that it behaves like one. What is worth taking is the rest of the label: 25 µg of D3 in a country where most people are short of it between October and March, 25 µg of B12 at a dose that survives 1 to 2% oral absorption, 100 mg of chelated magnesium, one full NRV of iodine and selenium. The greens are there because they carry polyphenols and because people want them. If you want to buy the vitamins on their own, buy the vitamins on their own.
Three reasons, none of them clever. We sell two products instead of eleven, so our manufacturing runs are simple and our purchasing is boring. We have never paid a podcast host, an athlete or an ambassador, which for a brand at our volume would be about £14 on every pouch. And we run a gross margin of about 41% where a direct-to-consumer supplement brand usually needs 70% to fund its own advertising. After wages and the rent on Aylestone Road, £5.25 of your £39 is what is actually left. The formula is not the cheap part. Getting it to you is.
Ask your GP or pharmacist, and take the pouch with you. Three specific things to raise: the vitamin K2 interacts with warfarin and other coumarin anticoagulants; the ashwagandha is not advised with thyroid medication or immunosuppressants; the iodine matters if you have a thyroid condition. Nobody at Steady is a clinician and we will not pretend to be one over email.
No, this one is not formulated for pregnancy. The ashwagandha and the rhodiola are both reasons to avoid it, and a pregnancy multivitamin has a different job anyway. Steady Night is fine on the magnesium and glycine, but the tart cherry has not been studied enough for us to say so with a straight face. Buy a proper pregnancy supplement.
Tart pineapple over a green, slightly seaweedy base. The spirulina is 2 g of the serving and there is no hiding that. It is noticeably better in 300 ml of cold water in a shaker than in a mug with a spoon, and it is worse in warm water. If you hate it, tell us within 30 days and we refund the whole order including the first month of a subscription, opened pouch and all.
Two clicks in your account, and the second click is the one that does it. You can skip a single month, push the next delivery back by up to six weeks, or cancel outright. There is no minimum term and no notice period. Cancel on day 29 and nothing else is taken. If you started the subscription online you can end it online, which from spring 2027 will be the law here anyway rather than a favour.
It is the single most common complaint we get and it is a fair one. The current pouch uses a press-to-close strip that loses grip once the pouch is half empty and the film starts to flex. We have a slider-zip version quoted at 11p more per pouch and we are moving to it on the first batch after the current film order runs out, which is roughly August 2026. Until then: decant it, or fold the top over the clip that comes taped inside the box. We should have shipped a better closure first time.
Yes. £39 is what leaves your account. Food supplements are standard-rated in the UK under VAT Notice 701/14, paragraph 4.2, so there is 20% VAT inside that price, about £6.50 of it, and it is on the invoice as a separate line. Anyone telling you a greens powder is VAT-free is either not registered yet or is going to get a letter.

Yes, and we publish all of it, including the batch in February 2026 where a chlorate residue from a kale supplier's wash water came back above the limit of quantification at 0.03 mg/kg. It was well inside the legal limit, we still changed supplier, and the certificate is on the site with the result in it. A test result you only see when it is flattering is a marketing asset, not a test result.
